Job Description

Responsibilities

As a Barista at Qamla Ltd, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and serving high-quality specialty coffee drinks to our customers, including espresso-based beverages, pour-overs, and other menu items.

  • Providing exceptional customer service, addressing customer queries and concerns, and ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the cafe.

  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards, and ensuring compliance with cafe policies and procedures.

  • Operating espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment efficiently and effectively, minimizing waste and maximizing productivity.

  • Contributing to the visual appeal of the cafe, including maintaining displays, arranging merchandise, and ensuring the overall aesthetic is inviting and engaging.

  • Participating in ongoing training and development, staying up-to-date on new products, promotions, and procedures, and sharing knowledge with colleagues.

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve business objectives, supporting events and promotions, and contributing to the overall success of the cafe.

Requirements and Skills

To be successful as a Barista at Qamla Ltd, you will need to have:

  • Relevant experience as a Barista in a similar environment, with a strong focus on customer service and quality product preparation.

  • Knowledge of specialty coffee, including brewing methods, flavor profiles, and equipment operation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.

  • Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.

  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.

  • Knowledge of cafe policies and procedures, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
