Responsibilities
As a Food Runner, you will be responsible for:
Efficiently and accurately delivering food orders from the kitchen pass to the correct tables, ensuring presentation standards are met.
Observing the dining room for guest needs and proactively assisting servers with table maintenance, such as clearing plates, refilling water, and resetting tables.
Communicating effectively with kitchen staff and servers to relay any special requests, dietary restrictions, or order modifications.
Assisting with final plating touches and garnishes as directed by the kitchen staff before food leaves the pass.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the service stations, including restocking cutlery, napkins, and condiments.
Responding promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries, escalating issues to management when necessary.
Supporting the overall flow of service by anticipating needs and contributing to a seamless dining experience.
Requirements and Skills
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred, but not required for enthusiastic individuals.
Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate order delivery and food presentation.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and interact with guests.
Stamina and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift and carry trays or plates.
A positive attitude and a genuine desire to provide excellent customer service.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operating schedule.
